BLACK/BROWN

Tya Alisa Anthony

Born 1978 in Colorado Springs, CO.

Works in Denver, CO 2020

Created for the October 2020 Untitled: Creative Fusions at Home. “We the people vocalize two words, Black and Brown. Hoping all connect to the words in their own way. Seeing the movement of our lips and hearing the annunciation of each loaded word. Honoring time and space for Black and Brown bodies. Speaking love and light into these words. Taking the time to help a friend. Random acts of kindness with a tool that we all have access to. Our voice. Sharing just two words and 20 seconds.” – Tya Alisa Anthony
